Kinect Joy Ride Avhievements
Just last night, I put in this game, thinking I would just go through a race and grind out an achievement. However, as soon as I got my first boost and jump, it didn't feel like grinding at all. I was having so much fun that I kept playing. It is nice because the more you play, the more you unlock.
A lot of people see this as just a racing title. It is much more than that. If it was just racing, it would probably get dull. However, the other modes make it a lot more fun. There is the dash mode, where you go as fast as you can with boosts, etc. There is the crash mode, where you knock out statues and crash into stuff. there is the jump mode, where you are doing stunts and gaining huge air time. There is the pose mode, where you fly in the air and have to match poses.
Overall, this is fun. It supports two players in the same room and has online play for the racing and battle modes. Don't expect a Mario Kart sim or a detailed racing game. This is just a fun, casual, racing game that uses your body to race.
One last note on the conrols. For me, for the most part, they work just fine. I was holding my hands close together at first and the car would make bigger moves. However, if I hold my hands slightly further apart (about as far apart as a normal steering wheel) then I have much more control. If I find I'm going out of control, then I stop and look at how I'm holding my hands and I see that I'm all goofy looking (arms twisted, etc.) The more you play, the more you'll see these controls DO work.

Xbox Kinect Sports Game
Xbox Kinect Sports Game comes with basically six sports games within the disk. The games included are Soccer, Bowling, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Table Tennis and Track and Field.
- Xbox Kinect Soccer – in a competitive match, players are on opposing teams attacking and defending as necessary. In a cooperative match, players are teammates playing side-by-side, taking a single action (pass, save or shot at goal) before control, swaps to the other player. A play indicator on the screen show which player is active.
- Xbox Kinect Bowling – neon lanes is your own cutting-edge bowling venue. Roll up for the most fluid and intuitive gaming bowling experience ever. Play a solo round of bowling or add other players: one online opponent over Xbox Live, or up to three of your fiends and family in the same room.
- Xbox Kinect Beach Volleyball – visit wave side for a hot and hectic game of Beach Volleyball. Get into the rhythm of serving, passing, spiking and blocking. Pass the ball between your players to set up an attack. When receiving the ball from the other team, get into position to recover it or intercept it at the net.
- Xbox Kinect Boxing – looking for a match-up that’s a little more direct? Don’t let your guard down at tornado gardens. A lot can happen in three rounds. As boxing is a naturally competitive sport, it’s always a face-off against a single rival-whether that’s a computer opponent, online opponent or a contender from among your fiends and family.
- Xbox Kinect Table Tennis – blade center competitors are locked in with intense, fast-paced combat at opposite ends of a table. Step in and rally your way to victory! Your team can either be you playing solo against any kind of opponent, or you alongside friends and family players in a doubles match.
- Xbox Kinect Track and Field – head to flame stadium for five events in one. Will you test your skill in a single event, or your stamina over the full pentathlon? You can add friends and family or an online opponent as one of the other competitors. Remaining slots are filled by computer opponents.
In party mode, get ready for a variety pack of living room multiplayer fun. It’s red team vs. blue team with kinect games from all six sports. With a room full of players striving to outdo one another and crazy mascots let loose in the field, party play provides maximum entertainment for friends and family. Xbox Kinect Games for your 360 Console
Microsoft has come out with a new controller free gaming device call Kinect for Xbox. The new device will work as a bolt on to your existing Xbox 360 console system. There are already a few Kinect Games available for pre order that will work with this device. Some Kinect games were showcased at the years E3 show by Microsoft and this new Kinect motion camera is basically going to change the gaming industry and how we interact with the games themselves.
The Kinect device plays similar to the Wii system but has no controller and takes the gaming experience to a new level. Kinect is actually a motion monitoring camera that will be placed above the monitor or T.V. It reads your body movements and even facial expressions. The Kinect device will then take that information and give you a real time ability to interact with the video game without a controller and just by moving your arms, legs head or even hips. It basically makes your body the controller or turns you into the interface with the gaming console.
Coming out at the end of summer or more specific in the month of November the Kinect will give you the controller free video gaming experience that we have all been waiting for.
One of the most exciting games is titled Kinect Sports. This game will offer players different sports to play like turning your living room into a world class stadium, bowling alley, soccer, track and field, beach volleyball, bowling table tennis or even boxing.
Another game launching this November, is titled Kinect Adventures! It is a video game that will only work with the Kinect motion camera device and the Xbox 360 console. With this game you will be able to float in outer space, experience the thrill of roaring rapids, tackle mountain tops and even dive into the deep to explore an underwater observatory all from your living room.
One more of the Kinect Games is the Kinect Joy Ride. This is a racing type video game which will bring a lot fun in a new way. You can steer the car just by moving your hands around while holding a pretend steering wheel or even better than that you can bend, twist and move your body to hug the curves, jump through obstacles and show off your acrobatic skills when you get your whole body into it, you are the car!
Another and maybe the coolest Kinect Game is Dance Central exclusively for the Xbox 360 console, is the first immersive dance video game that features and tracks full body dance moves. Completely free from and controller, every routine has authentic choreograph for beginners and experts alike to master.
One for the kids Kinectimals invites children, their parents and animal lovers of all ages to build lasting friendships with some of the world’s most exotic creatures. Just like real pets, your Kinectimals will come running when they hear your voice, respond to commands such as jump, roll over, play dead and even purr with joy when you scratch them behind their ears.
